Jason Collett recently released a ridiculously rich and varied album entitled Reckon.  If we had had more time to reckon it prior to year’s end, it would have undoubtedly been bumped up from Honorable Mention status in our Best Albums of 2012.  Such is life–an ongoing apologia. Collett (ex-Broken Social Scene) recently appeared on QTV, backed by members of Canadian acts Bahamas and Snowblink, and performed one of the more affecting songs on the album, Miss Canada. Check it out below and particularly towards the end when the Collett-eers segue into Neil Young’s Four Strong Winds.  A beautiful delivery of yet another poignant song from Collett, who is one of our must under-appreciated artists.  Go buy Reckon now–we reckon you won’t be disappointed.
