Back in the saddle again, Band of Horses is streaming the entirety of its impending new album, Mirage Rock, via Columbia Records.  While many of its trademark rock n’ Americana sounds remain, we hear producer Glyn Johns letting the band take the bit more and add a bit more variety and nuance.  In particular, Heartbreak 101 manages to include some Lou Reed– and David Bowie– like vocals and embellishments (strings too) while singing of heartbreak somewhere along our familiar 101 freeway.  Check the new album out below or over at the band’s site.
